LIke many of you we are lifelong bicycling enthusiasts. Our founder has worked directly with manufacturers all over the world to connect clients directly with manufacturers since 2010. After experiencing his first e-bike on a guided bike tour in Costa Rica he was hooked. When he returned home he decided he had to have an electric bike. After searching a lot of cyclery stores, what he found was limited selections, low wattage motors, and very high retail prices. So buying an electric bike for regular use at home was put on hold.
Then a colleague in China asked if he would be able to help a friend of his with a major bicycle manufacturing company break into the USA and European markets. This quickly expanded into helping him design electric bikes for both the European and North American Markets. Soon other electric bike manufacturers were approaching him to do the same for them. And thus a new business was formed.
Fully Charged Rides was originally just a business to business putting manufacturers in contact with large retailer stores, then expanded to smaller cyclery stores, and wholesalers. Now we service those original markets we have expanded to offer our services to individual buyers who want either a custom off the shelf ebike or something that fits them better.
